Bleed and safe area

Bleed extends printed artwork past the final cut line so minor cutting variation does not leave an unintended white edge. Keep logos, text and other essential content inside the safe area.

If the panel requires rounded corners, contour cutting or holes, show these elements clearly on a separate dieline or technical layer. Do not place important text close to drilled holes or the outside edge.

Colour and black coverage

Prepare print artwork in the requested colour mode and use a suitable output profile if one is provided. Screen appearance is not a reliable prediction of printed colour because monitors emit light while printed graphics reflect it.

Large dark backgrounds need particular care. Rich black builds can provide deeper coverage than black ink alone, but the correct CMYK values depend on the printer’s ink limits and workflow. Ask for the recommended build rather than inventing one.

Every production-ready file should be checked through a digital proof for dimensions, orientation, crop position, spelling and finishing instructions. A digital proof shows layout and content, but it does not perfectly simulate substrate texture, metallic effects or final printed colour.
