Most online printers give you two options, and both of them are bad for anything out of the ordinary. Either you use a fixed configurator that only prices the sizes someone thought of in advance, or you abandon your cart entirely and start over in a blank contact form that throws away every specification you already entered.

Neither works for a job that is genuinely custom. So we kept a third path: build your cart, then ask for pricing on it.

How quoting works here

Put the job together first. Add the products you need at the sizes and quantities you want. For anything the online configurator does not cover, start from Custom Quote and describe it in your own words.

Request pricing on the whole thing. Your specifications stay attached to the request. You do not retype them into a form, and nothing is lost between the cart and the estimator.

A person prices it. Non-standard sizes, unusual stocks, large runs and multi-part projects get quoted by someone who knows what the presses can actually do. A calculator that cannot price your job returns an error. A person returns a number.

You approve, then we print. Production begins at proof approval and runs 2 to 7 business days depending on the speed selected, with rush available.

When to quote instead of ordering online

Situation Why quoting is better
A size that is not in the dropdown Priced to your dimensions instead of forcing you up a tier
Several products for one project One quote and one delivery instead of four separate orders
Large quantities Volume is where per-unit pricing moves most
Unusual stock or finishing Materials and finishing outside the standard list
A hard in-hands date Scheduling gets confirmed before you commit
Recurring or repeat work Pricing set up once, then reordered

If your job fits a standard configuration, ordering online is faster and you should just do that. The quote path exists for everything else.

What to include

  • Finished size and quantity
  • Material or stock, if you have a preference
  • One side or both sides
  • Finishing: lamination, grommets, binding, cutting, mounting
  • Delivery address, so freight is priced in
  • Your in-hands date

Artwork is helpful but not required to start, because pricing depends on specifications rather than on the file. When you do send files, supply CMYK at 300 DPI effective resolution with 0.125 in bleed and fonts converted to outlines, as PDF, JPEG, TIFF or EPS. Our in-house design services can build or adapt artwork if you do not have print-ready files.

What gets quoted most

Large format and custom project work is where quoting earns its keep: full signage runs, event displays for a booth, wall and window graphics, and booklets at quantities or bindings outside the standard options. We print up to 60 inches wide on a single piece and tile or seam beyond that, so wall-sized work is normal.

Turnaround and delivery

Production runs 2 to 7 business days once your proof is approved, depending on the speed selected, and rush service is available on many products. We ship throughout Canada and the United States, with destinations beyond North America handled by special request. Freight is included in the quote when you give us the delivery address.

Start a quote

Add what you know to a Custom Quote request, or call 1-800-879-5484 and talk it through. Partial information is fine. Most quotes start with a size, a quantity and a deadline.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a quote for a custom print job? Add what you need to your cart and request pricing on it, or submit a custom quote request directly. Include dimensions, quantity, material and your in-hands date, and a person reviews the request rather than a calculator rejecting it.

Can I get one quote covering several different products? Yes. That is the point of quoting from a cart: a trade show booth needing a backdrop, banners, a tablecloth and flyers can be priced as one job instead of four separate enquiries.

What information makes a quote fast and accurate? Finished size, quantity, material or stock, printing on one or both sides, any finishing such as lamination, grommets or binding, your delivery address, and the date you need it in hand. Artwork helps but is not required to start.

Do you quote jobs that are not listed on the website? Yes. Non-standard sizes, unusual materials, very large runs and multi-part projects are exactly what the quote path exists for. The online products cover common configurations, and anything outside them gets priced individually.

Can I get a quote if I do not have final artwork yet? Yes. Pricing depends on size, quantity, stock and finishing, not on the artwork itself. Send specifications now and supply files later. Production begins once you approve the proof.

Do you quote for customers outside Montreal? Yes. We ship throughout Canada and the United States, with destinations beyond North America handled by special request. Include the delivery address so freight is priced into the quote.

How large can a printed piece be? We print up to 60 inches wide on a single piece, and larger work is produced by tiling or seaming panels. Full walls and backdrop displays are routine rather than special orders.
